I have seen this grafter pole thought about getting  it and at this price thinking even more i know you are all saying forget it get Gardiners pole but i have had a few now and thhem blooby clamps need to be sorted so what do you think

they look worth a try at that price  and there was me thinking Ionics were expensive

Its the standard Grafter not a Grafter Plus!!!!!
Standard grafter has a lower carbon content than the Grafter Plus.
If you are wanting similar to a Gardiners CLX you need to be looking for a Grafter Plus.

I have a grafter 21 and a clx 22 if i am honest i like the feel of the grafter more but it is knackerd now so only use the clx. I will say the clx lasts longer than a grafter pole

I have had the Grafter 28 for less than a year.

The clamps are weak, the carbon lasted about a month and the orange hose is not fit for purpose.

Would have been a good budget pole but for the money no way.

im so glad we checked this forum, as we as newbies were going out in the morning to buy our first pole, which was going to be the grafter because of the price.... really would be grateful if you could recommend a pole up to 30ft. we are on a budget of about £200.

I've got a grafter pole and those clamps, useless. They clamp ok but they keep coming unstuck.

7 months on, and I've gone through 4 replacement clamps. Each time getting the clamp re glued has cost me time which is money.

Ionics, are you reading this? Sort out the clamps on your grafter pole.

The orange nightmare hose that comes with it, they don't tell anyone but it's hose that's meant for a hot wash system.

Clx 27.they need to be treated with kindness but a great pole, mine was £230 with the brush and fittings I wanted

There is a new Grafter coming out. Saw it personally at the show in Amsterdam. They have changed the clamp material for a tougher plastic. Also, the smooth painted finish has been dropped. It now has a spiral wound finish. The idea is that it will from a better bond between the pole and the clamp. There is a new hose-through adaptor rather than drilling a hole in the pole section as used to be. A much better pole overall, but it is a few quid more expensive now though.

It's amazing how Ionics seem to bring out improvements after bringing out the pole those improvements are based on.

It's like they test the pole with window cleaners.

I'm thoroughly fed up with my my grafter pole and the clamps coming unstuck and paying £40 odd quid each time for them to get re glued as Ionics glue is not covered by the warranty which I think is disgusting. What the hell do they think I bought the pole for in the first place? To just look at it, no, I bought it to use for cleaning windows and I expect it to be up to the daily wear and tear expected from something designed for that job.

Ionics, you've lost a customer but knowing Ionics, they don't give a stuff. Their advertising machine rolls on ever looking for pastures anew. One part per billion is a perfect example of their advertising machine.

I know what pole I'm buying when this one becomes beyond repair or I get too fed up with it and guess what make pole I'm going to buy?

What problems do you have with the Gardiner clamps?

I will say I thought there trad skills course was good and Craig was full of good idea and very positive.
