I doubt very much Alex is going to tell us on anyone the exact place these poles are made

I was going to put that they were hand assembled by Nepalese mountain pygmies, but thought it wasn't politically correct!

Where are the SLX range of poles manufactured? - This is not an easy question to answer as the answer is 'all over the world'.

All of the components are designed in the UK and all of the poles are hand-finished in the UK. Many of the components are also manufactured in the UK.

There are a total of 52 components in a typical SLX25 pole, brush and hose assembly - 28 Components are from the UK, 16 from China, 5 from Japan & 3 from Europe. They are finally assembled in China and the UK.

You could make a marketing thing out of that put a country on each section start with Japan at the top ... then the United Kingdom .... then Norway(bear with me) ... then China ... then Korea when it's all closed up and on the roofrack it will say J.U.N.C.K brilliant TopGear would have a field day with that! And Jeremy Clericson is very rich man. Lives next door to the prime minister and everything and he owns an island like Richard Branston I think. He probably owns it cos he drives like a nutter cos he can barely walk because he is feeble and weak but very rich  ;D

is making them a stinky process?   i used to visit a fibreglass factory and it stunk to high heaven. on the afternoons the guys who sprayed the fibreglass were high as a kite (even wearing full protection) from the fumes  and they used to sing at the top of their voices !!

I thought they were made in the usa because they all seem to use gardiner stuff.
To be honest i thought alex was part of a franchise from the usa.how wrong i must be.

It's just nice to know where it's made. I'm a great fan of things being made in England.

Not sure about the SLX but my two CLX's seem to occasionally have a dodgy English thing attached!

Must be just me  ;D
