Hold the valve in one hand but try to keep your finger and thumb near the red push fit, push the hose INTO the valve and then hold the red push fit in, the hose should then pull out whilst you have hold of the red part, same the other side.

Take the tap off the inlet and out let pipes and refit them making sure the pipes are pushed in as deep as they can go.

Thanks
I've got the pole tap taped to the middle of the pole bottom section - still experimenting best way to have it connected without snagging it - probably an infinite and impossible task ;) ;)

Next to the flow valves on the website you will see the john guest black barb to stem fitting. This is what you need to solve the problem.Put one in both ends of flow valve and then attach pole hose with an ear ring. You will never get it coming out again  ;) You may only need to ear ring on the bottom side of flow valve nearest your connector.

can you buy the little red colletts cause mine split and the hose pops off frequently  its a shame cause the rest of the valve is good. if not ill have to get a new valve..

I used to use the one you have granny i stood on mine as well i just taped it up with electrical insulating tape and it worked great ,

Until i stood on it again so i got one of the bigger ones gardiners sell loads better more robust .

Just finding a protecta ball or similar to stop it getting damaged was the only thing .  Managed to get a pack of 3 dogs play balls from asda they are a high density foam and work great put one either side of the tap and give the spare one to the dog .  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D .   MIKE
