Hey all

So yesterday I was cleaning a few 3-storey jobs I do in one particular street.  Anyway, because I was using the old Brodex 36 footer, I cleans tops of one, then moves to the left to clean the next.  Finishes that and pulls pole down to clean tops of the 3 on opposite side of road.  Halfway through a lady taps me on the shoulder (I had my earphones in), points to the 2nd house back across the road and says 'why have you cleaned my top windows?'.  Suddenly realised I'd cleaned the tops of the house next to the one I should have (doh!). 

Anyway, I apologised profusely and explained my error.  We had a good laugh about it then she uttered the loverly phrase: 'how much do you charge?'.  Turns out she was so impressed with how clean I had got them that she wanted me to do the whole house!  New custy on a 4 weekly so a c0ck up turns into a bonus!

As me dad used to say: 'a man who has never made a mistake has never made fook all son!'

Onwards and upwards Rodders!

These types of things happen to me quite a lot.  I don't think it's just luck - just a case of being in the right place at the right time.  My brother stamped out my pessimistic side a while ago by telling me there was no such thing as bad luck either - it's just another challenge that needs to be overcome - this has stood me in good stead on many occasions.

i would say over half the windows i have ever cleaned in misstake i have actually picked up lol i might as well just start cleaning random windows with those averages

Done a first clean on a canvassed customer,he said he leave money under mat ,I turn up no money ,done clean text him no reply,I thought ok il wait a 2 weeks,then knocked every few days no answer,was preparing to return the grime I removed from windows ,so I turn up house is to let...... I laughed to be honest although peed off then 2 weeks later phone rings its them they apologize give me there story and asked me to quote new house and also there business premises well I thought ok price hike they accepted and have been no trouble since.
