pump primes and makes all the usual noises, just doesnt pump water ?. tried the obvious, water in tank  ::) solution tank filter, etc, pumps less than5mths old and is a back up m/c only. not an air lock, connected to upholstery tool, prime the trigger. nothing but pumps running?. any advice apprec.

Pump head/solution line from the pump blocked with dried residue? might need a descale of it's been sitting for a while, or hose kinked? Try an open ended short piece of pipe instead of tools.

You could try a different solution hose ;D

Put a male quick connect on the outlet. Sometimes a handtool isn't enough to bleed the air out. Put the vac hose over the end of the male qc to pull water through.

hya was an air lock after all. set both vacs away and shoved screw driver onto
female coupling to catch air/water, maybe 4mins constant and air lock gone. had me bamboozeled.
thanks for replys, will no for the nxt time.
