I've always found ettorre to be the best, and only ever use soft rubber.  I think the hard rubber is supposed to last longer, but I find turning the squeegee a little difficult.

i have always though pulux soft to be the best, however i brought a pulux squeegy the other day and it cam with a pulux rubber that seemed to be harder im guessing they make a hard one, and this is by far the best rubber i havr used, a good sqeegy for about 3 quid as well
