Got a van mount which I love but I gotta get me a gardiners backpack , they look proper good , reasonable price and will solve quite a few access problems for me . Just wondering what everyone else thinks?

Hi,
Having a backpack is another useful tool to have. In my opinion, it won't take the place of a van mount but can be very convenient for some applications.
I use ours to clean the front windows and signage of the shop front we do. Quick to set up and no hoses for customers to trip up over.

I think if you stuck a link up to the backpack, you'd get a better response to this post.

i only use a backpack & just have a short length of hose from my tank to fill it, but its not very quick, thats why i've been considering a pump, but i dont really need or want a van mount yet. but barrels are a quick way to fill up

kybl if you have a good round with plenty of work then you ll be wasting a lot of time with barrels/filling up etc.van mount is by far the best, quickest and easiest way to work for most jobs.
i can see the advantage of the backpack for a few jobs though.

not sure on the handle on the lid tho!
19 L has a bit of weight to it, to put force on the lid when pivking up etc ...
again like all window cleaning wfp bits - just modified stuff ie - backpack = a crop spayer etc ...
think it looks ok but id stick with the wcw one or try john hewitts version - same thing!

dazmond i keep thinking about a van mount but my round is well spread out, i've only 1 street where i've lots on both sides & with hose & reel & pump etc its about £300 thats a lot for the few houses that i know it would be good for. if you dont have the reel fastened to the van how do you stop it falling over all the time
i use the john hewitson 505 its great no probs wi handle at all

if your happy with a backpack then stay as you are!very rarely does the hose reel fall over when unwinding to a job.i have 100m of microbore on it!
i use the cheap metal lightweight hose reels from gardiners.only £37.great value for money.been using mine for a year now with no problems.
