bin havin trouble with the brass elbow that conects to my hose reel i have trouble with the click in part that goes on the elbow it keeps flying off ,and now the actual fitting thats screwed on the reel is leaking ,is it something simple or do i need a couple of new fittings ,not bothered about buying new ones ,but got a busy day on monday and its bank holl so cant replace em till tuesday at earliest

Lad get some liquid ptfe from screw fix and re do every thing
I ain't had 1 leak since i did and buy done decent connectors tht will be under
Pressure,

oh dont worry im a red ,im just trying to take my mind of it by throwin meself in to my work    brodex did say everything was covered so i will go see em on tuesday

Is this a metal real with plastic centre spindle ? HRM is the name i think .

If so where is the leak , between the plastic to brass or on the brass to brass swivel ?

If its between the where the brass knuckle threads onto the plastic spindle then ptfe tape , 5 or 6 winds should sort that out , if its on the brass to brass part try to get it so there is no pull on the hose from any angle , i find that if its pulled to one side or the other i get leakage ,if its left so that water pressure lets it find its own resting point it will seal up under pressure .

As for your fitting to the real , it sounds like the rubber o ring on the brass knuckle is to blame or the hozelock fitting itself is faulty , you must have a spare on somthing else you can chop and change to see .

Failing the above it could just be down to too much feed pressure , try knocking it back a bit

Myn did a little but i got myn from cleaning warehouse
So I ain't driving to Wolverhampton! I I changed all the ptfe to liquid
And I ain had another prob mate!!

i replaced my brass elbow before i think they are under a tenner, gardiners and the likes sell them i think, a nice new hozelock should stop it blowing off all the time

had similar problems i think, if you can reduce the pressure to help stop it flying off, use ptf tape, and until you get new fitting when you finish each job switch off power let the water out of hose and the pressure and then roll up thehose shouldn't fly of then.

Those fittings don't last long and require regular replacement.
