Been wfp for about 9 weeks now and have to admit it has become a very handy tool to have. On second cleans now and seeing the benefits of arduous first cleans ( thank god).  overall clean it up has been a welcome place to gain advice on poles , brushes etc but I am really disappointed in the negative opinions towards trad window cleaning. There will always be a need for trad window cleaning and on some jobs it is still the best way to clean. I've got to be honest and where wfp is good the results are fantastic and overall I am chuffed I invested but in all honesty anyone can pole but being competent trad up a ladder can take an age to master , in fact I've worked with plenty who just never get it. I do believe wfp is the future but to me you can only consider yourself a proper window cleaner if your competent in both. In all honesty I wfp as much as I can but a some of the time it's just easier and better to get trad tools out. My point is wfp is a great tool to add to your skills but trad is an equally important skill and should be given the credit it deserves on here. I would never slate the method, just the man or woman on the end of it.

I totally agree with you. I think there is a need for both methods if you want to be able to clean every window. When I started out I was taught both methods and both are as important as each other in my books.

wfp is one hell of a BIG STRING TO MY BOW!!i use it for 80% of my work but there is always room for a squeegee!especially in tight spaces and windows with perished/dodgy rubber seals!!

i agree trad window cleaning is good to have as well but its wfp thats king for most of my work.

In 1985 it took all of 1 hour to master trad, took about 6 months to get up to rapid speed.
Dont know what all the fuss is about to be honest.
It aint like bricklaying, plumbing, or being an accountant.
In the building trade they say if you can p1sh you can paint, same can be said for trad window cleaning or wfp window cleaning
