Has this happened to you?
« on: May 03, 2012, 05:03:59 pm »
Went to protect a new beige 80/20 wool carpet. After misting some acidic rinse, blue spots
appeared  :o On blotting it was apparant it went down to the base of the fibres.
My local carpet shop said it's the blue dye from sheep, that was missed in manufacture.

Has this happened to you?

Worrying that it could have showed up years later with a carpet clean ::)
"So basically its a big vax!"

The sheep dye idea sounds totally implausible when you think how wool is processed and spun then the carpet manufactured.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

;D ;D Paul, ive heard some bul l poop in my time but if the carpet shop only knew what process that wool goes through in sanitizing then dying it, then they would be very imbarressed. :)
