You need to buy a Gardiner pole, once you have used a Gardnier pole for a week you will never ever touch any other pole

Jesus wept mate man up,

In the olden days we were lumping around 3/4 section ladders to clean windows at that height and I'm only 32 :D .

I only have an xtel hybrid. Blinkin' heavy at times. Until my round is full though, I won't upgrade, but I have to admit to drooling over an slx22 on the Gardiners website.

I started with an xtel i soon moved on u wont regret it steve get a clx to start with as they are real cheap a clx 22 would do most of your work and its only about £100.

These heavy poles usually come with a heavy vikan brush on the end, if so, you can make them very usable and get your use out of them by putting a lightweight brush on the end, Gardiner Extreme or Tekbuck whatever you fancy.

Good thread , poles have come a long way , i started with fibre universals , one was a 35 footer  , it was about 20kg i reckon , i could only just get both hands around it !
I then went to a 45 facelift , top of the game at the time , £980 well spent , but feck me its heavy by todays standards , i still have it in use now , one thing i will say is that whats on the end plays a massive part , it came with a supposed ultra light alloy gooseneck and 10 inch vikan , i just recently got a gardiner resineck and long extension topped with a red bristle superlight and whacked that on , it has changed the pole no end .
I also treated myself to a 27 clx and soft to medium brush , wow , now i really must go to spank the monkey

Blue frog , ive had em all , universals , extenders , facelift , brodex alloys , gardiners , now what do i think of them HHHMMMMM ?

Universals , spot on , earnt the wedge went home tired.

Extenders , amazing poles , whippy , light , wore far too quick .

Facelift , middle of the road , hard wearing , need to be lighter

Brodex , 3 pole package banished to the shed , hard wearing pole sections but hugely let down by the shear lack of thought and use of servicable materials used in the construction of the clamping  and levering devices !!!!!!!!!!

Gardiners , gotta go spank the monkey again !!!!!!!!!    ;D ;D ;D ;D

first pole i got was a streamline 20ft fibreglass (same as xtel)with vikan brush.heavy and bent like a banana at full stretch over connies.as id just started wfp i could of easily damaged my shoulder muscles thats for sure!

then i bought a 25ft brodex hydra alloy pole.a bit more rigid but still heavy and crap clamps.long closed length etc.

then i bought a 22ft clx which i still use on occasions.great light budget pole!

then for the last year been using a 25ft SLX now with carbon gooseneck and aquadaptor.

still think the slx is too heavy when cleaning soffits/fascias.gotta be an extreme next methinks!! ;) ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!
