Ive a chance to buy a secondhand cimex cr38 15inch machine.

I assume this machine does carpets the same as the others?

When using the encapsulation method are white pads or shampoo brushes best?

Anything else I should consider?

Pads work best for encap work if the carpet allows brushes will also give good results.
I have 6" pads here for that can be used.
Truvox dont make the Encap pads for that model.

Jamie I have an old r38 model it has 2 pins that hold the brushes will the newer brushes still fit I believe they have 4 holes? or do they still make brushes and pad holders with 2 holes?

Shaun, I have the old r38 machine and purchased the the carpet brushes and pad holders with four holes. They all fit the same.

I can source the drive pads/brushes.

However you can get them direct from the people that make them for Truvox from ebay.

I have an R38P Cimex with pad drives, i bought a set of brushes off ebay a couple of year ago.
When i come to use it, i had ordered the 8" brushes by mistake, it takes 6"

Can it be used for carpets with brushes or pads, and can it be used on hard floors with the correct brushes.

jamie what you got in six inches as I have a ton of 8 inch brush stock I'll swap you think there about 12 or more horse hair to poly brushes

Not sure what speed it is.  I assume the crs38 is the slow speed 400rpm.

So whats the fast machine for?  Is it definately too fast for carpets?
