A question for all who clean solar panels on domestic's.
Which size pole would you all recommend.I was thinking 45ft
Would cover a standard house installation?

I put  a treble ladder up to the gutter height and then clean from their with a 22ft pole , you would have to stand back a long way to get enough angle with a longer pole, which you wont always get, just depends if you like tall ladders.

Thanks for your reply John but no disrespect
But I prefer my feet on the ground and your
Method would have to be the last option.I try to limit
Ladder work as I mainly work by myself.

I don't see a way of cleaning the roof panels unless a ladder is used. (apart from mewps, scaffolding)

The pole would need to be huge. You may be able to clean some roofs with a 50fter but not many.

i wanted to clean these from ground only but on most houses it's impossible unfortunately so i binned the idea.

even with an SLX 35 with gooseneck, the angle of the roof makes it impossible to hit the panels on many standard 2 storey houses.

the only way to do it is with ladders, as far as i can see.  if i am wrong, please let me know  ;)

Super max 40ft that i have gets to every roof window i have on my round so 45'er should be able to get to most but not all solar panels. I reckon 50' would be more than enough
To climb mount fuji you must first find a path

Guys can I ask is there a brush head for solar panel cleaning?

I have solar in my own house, its a tube system with could do with a clean, each tube simply clicks in the the manofold and sits on a bracket, are they safe to clean or are they best left alone?

When cleaning solar panels do you need to turn them off, or do you just leave them on ?
