Here I go again!
I haven't got any trade references or business bank account, so how do i go about gaining stock from suppliers?
I have a personal account, and buy my current supplies from wilkos

Have a look at the 'Janitorial supplies' section of our website.

If you can pay 'up front' for a couple of orders, we'll sort something out for a credit account.

You really need to build up a relationship with a supplier. Buy all your main stuff from them and they will watch you grow as your business increases.
They will become confident with you and when you  want to open an account with them they will be happy to accomodate you.
Maybe start you off with a small limit and will probably increase this limit when things really get going.
I only have three suppliers, but at the moment only one gives me credit.
Check your local phone book and look for nearest INBIZ office.
See if you can register for one of their courses these can open accounts for you as they have bank managers on their panels.

hi there,

i totally agree, find your local janitorial supplier, and ask them questions, if they cant answer a few testing questions, find another one, and once you have then build that realtionship.

we have a great supplier, and exellent account facilities, do not bite the hand that feeds.

regards

martin

Lisa,
You started off asking about trade refrences, now your onto percentages in quotes, don't you think it's better to master one thing at a time?

i'm an 'everything at once' kind of person, it's all or nothing with me.
sorry if i get too inquizativeon loads of things. It's just one minute i'm doing one thing, and the next i'm off on a tangent :)

stops me from getting bored. It was a few months ago that i applied for a biz account, so maybe i'll get shopping around to see if anyone will help me out on the high street now.

Thanks for all your help everyone. i appreciate your time and views.
