They need to in order to cover the cost of the cleaner. The coverage on the one that contains the scotchguard is poor in comparison to "pro" products.

I love this section -

we use the latest carpet cleaning technology, with dual brushes and built-in heater which dries while we clean. A revolutionary cleaning system that gives unbeatable cleaning performance on carpets, upholstery and hard floors.

LOL unbeatable.....sure

Has anyone cleaned a carpet with one of these or a rugdoctor and then cleaned it with a proper machine and recorded the difference?

Wow, I cant believe they:

a) Have the front to use that 'machine' and then call it professional!
b) Have the nerve to charge those prices!

I'm flabergasted, but then I suppose they would say that they have a good business model (with low running costs). Referrals are probably 0.01% though?

Looks like I've been wasting a lot of money on cleaning products too, I should just be buying "Scotch Guard" ;D

Dang Jim, I saw the same thing...

"We now also offer Scotch Guarding. Scotch Guarding with deodorises and refresh your carpets and upholstery by penetrating deep into fibres to break down stubborn dirt, stains and odour."

Now, a few years back, like about 1984, I was told the wording could only refer to the product as "Scotchgard".

Now I see it's a cleaner also.  ???  ;D

I also thought that The United Kingdom was the home of the English language, I'm mortified by some of the verbal garbage that I read on some web sites.  :(

Crikey, I even get agro when I see my computer guru has switched my pc from English (Australian) to English (US).  ;D ;D ;D
Shorty.

They'll definately leave a Lasting Impression..
