trad 16 years,2 years wfp.

to be honest i dont know how i managed all the ladder climbing every day!!i would of packed window cleaning in by now if it wasnt for  wfp.i used to have a few niggles with my right knee but its fine now im only using ladders a few times a week.

i see loads of trad window cleaners about and they have no desire to try wfp.one guy i know has fell off and has had 3 weeks off with a dodgy ankle but he ll be climbing his ladder(with 2 rungs missing!!)when hes ready.his dad gave him half his round and he s picked up all his dads bad habits.his hearts not in it.

a lot of guys just dont want to invest in the equipment or cant because their skint.
price higher/work harder!

Was trad for 6 months then became wfp but was always going to be wfp from start ... plan was to do trad until round was sufficient to warrant wfp as didnt want to spend money out if I wasnt going to make it long term but oppertunity came along to buy work with van and wfp system so took it.

I am a painter by trade but started trad in 1991 after the recession killed off the next 18 months of our contract work.
Window Cleaning was the way for me to keep out of the Job Centre and the ludicrous mentality that went with it.
I was perfectly happy trad for 15 years until I saw a video on WFP and like most trad-ers thought that that would never work!
Then found that it it did - rather well in fact
Went WFP in 2005 and now just coming up to year 7.
Still paint things occasionally but it has been along time. :)

I was made redundant three times in the late 80s/early 90s so I started with ladders in 1991.  Switched to WFP in 2005.
