when i turn off my water on my pole(aqua-daptor)then turn it back on i get a surge of water and high pressure for around 10 seconds then it goes back to the controlled flow ive set the varistream at.
anyone know how to fix this?its been happening for months now!!i use my p/f controller set at 60 all the time.calibration 45.
is the pressure switch knackered?

Hi Daz,
Your electronic pressure switch may be a set little to high or it maybe a 'problem' with your hose.
The problem you have may not be as bigger problem as you think it is however. I have a digital Varistream and the same thing happens with the minibore hose I currently have on my reel. The hose swells under the added pressure and acts like a expansion tank.
If I use my hose reel with the other minibore hose that originally came from Cleantech, this doesn't happen as the hose is a lot firmer. The down side is that I sometimes have to wait for the Varistreams sensor cycle to restart the pump. The Varistream sends a pulse to the pump every 5 secs to see if the pressure in the hose has reduced. If it hasn't, then the controller waits another 5 secs before it sends the pulse again. So if I'm using the original hose purchased from Cleantech sometimes I can open the aqua-dapter at the exact moment the Varistream sends its pulse to the motor and immediately the pump starts. If I open the tap at the end of the pulse then I have to wait the 5 secs for the pump to start. If it takes you 30 secs to wash and rinse that window, 5 secs is an iternity.
The minibore that my son in law uses was purchased from cleaning spot and has the same stiff characteristics as the original Cleantech hose.
The problem with hose that swells is that it tightens up on the hose reel if wound in without being pressurised. If you wind it up pressurised it becomes loose on the hose reel and becomes a mess when the pressure is released. I'm seriously thinking of ordering the cleaning spot minibore hose and replacing this, even although the hose isn't very old.
