All I know is that its a £5000 import from holland...and it seem to be only one area of the room which I done last..It's nearly white, and light was bad..It could be where I missed bits...hard to judge what youve done sometimes, especially that colour, with woman chatting all the time....should I go over it again with clean water or acid rinse, and rapid dry with a air mover...It was in the traffic area of the room, and I did have to do it at different angles due to lack of space...It was the only bit that wasnt dry before I left....any ideas? the rest of it is ok.

used a HWE machine..60 degrees, with fibre and fabric rinse in the tank...pre-sprayed with trafficlean, and avoided over-wetting...thats all..

Scott,

This will not have happened unless the water soaked into the backing causing the fugitive dyes to wick upwards as it dried.

I would check your floortool and pipe to see if you have any constriction which has caused overwetting.

I have only ever had this problem once on off white/white,  and this was when the valve was leaking when I laid the floor tool down.

Cheers

I checked the valves..no leaks..suction ok too..both vac pumps working ok...would browning solution rectify the problem...or would an insurance claim form be much easier?

You could try a browning solution. Wipe it on with a clean white terry towel, if there is dye transfer to the towel it is working and may be your remedy. Even if there is no transfer it still sometimes works over time. Worth a go. We have removed water damage browning but it has sometimes taken 2-3 goes.

I Had same problem a number of years ago there are several things you can do. 1 rinse the carpet again using your HWE machine with browning powder in your tank or 2 pre spray the browning solution over the carpet give it dwell time and then extract. The problem I had was a brown haze al over but it did work so all I can say is don't give up. Most goos browning solutions from the suppliers work well
