if it works do it lol, you know your getting good when on big bottom windows/doors you use the aplicator in the left hand and the follow it with the squeegy in the right hand in one single sweep ;-) look up dog earing for channels meant to be really good, also i 100% recomend the proffesional blue glass cleaning cloths, lee at the window cleaning mag can get them for you, they are miles better than scrim and microfibre cloths in every way

They ARE microfiber!!
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

put one next to any microfibre you can find, i assure you it will out preform anything, although in kind i guess they could be classed as microfibre, they are unlike any i have felt or used

Use your left hand, it feels like someone else is doing it.
(painting the nails on your left hand helps too)

Only when I use a left handed squeegee  ;D.
It might be because you are a bit more deliberate with your left hand.

You need to be able to squeegee with both hands, particularly when up a ladder, saves ladder movements.

That's a novel trick. I've sat on my hand for 10 minutes before now but never thought of painting my nails. Has anyone ever nicked those 'surgical' gloves they supply in garages? They help to a fashion :@)

forget all the other microfibre cloths go for the professional blue glass cleaning cloth, ask lee at the windowcleaning magazine, also he has a video on utube demonstrating it
