rubber -the good and the bad
« on: April 21, 2012, 11:24:12 pm »
whats your lads experience?

i used Pulex soft for a couple of  yrs ,good stuff but then i changed to Unger soft as its cheaper. but i dont think its quite as good value ,lasts less time i think

i once bought SYR rubber, very cheap but it left lines behind and scudded on the glass .

i always buy rubber in 42" lengths myself

Yes I don't think Unger soft last long, not tried Pulex but Unger hard rubbers are not too bad.

This is like a trip down memory lane. I can remember this forum when choice of rubber was the burning hot issue of the day. Nobody (except one guy Justin Ruggles- hope i got his name right) was wfp. I feel like Yoda

I managed it by cutting the rubber with a stanley blade ;D
Pulex 36" rubber is actually nearer 37" long
Although Unger channels are sold as 12" and 14" they are actually shorter than that.

for some reason unger rubbers are the worst ever, which is weired because most other trad stuff they make is quality gear, as everyone says pulux are around the best i think, i love what the cheap syr feal like on the glass but they dont last at all
