from hose pipe ban to flood alert

news says to nite parts of south yorkshire flooderd and last week told of hose pipe ban just been by river dearne and its burst its banks water all over fields

always a scary story in relation to real problems.

drought/fuel = elections only weeks away.

why cant we just introduce a penalisation for non voting or as the poms do it, state its a legal requirement and allow u to do it online...

online would massivley increase the voters.

change the way the voting system works ?

dont get me started on politics lol   :)

back to water fall lol its hammered down here for days on end , and im sure after 3 dry days we will be back informed of a drought!!!!!!!!!

There was flooding near here yesterday after a torrential thunderstorm, hailstones the lot.

No problem with compulsory voting so long as there is a "none of the above" option.
Big problem with having water, upon which the economy and life itself depends, in the hands of people who need to make profits.  Top quality infrastructure for such a basic need should have money and effort thrown at it - even if it pushes its price up substantially.  I would even be supportive of measures to drastically ease the burden on the poorest.  As a society, we really have let money rather than basic needs go to our heads.

The last couple of days, I have brought forward some inside office window cleaning by a few days.  It didn't keep me fully employed but will save some time next week.
