I'd be happy to go on the ladder but customers cancel because of it.

the point is you will not get behind and struggle, what you think and what you can do really are too different things clearly mate and your thoughts are costing you lost revenue for no good reason apart from you dont like going out in the rain.
If you educate your customers you will soon see its fine.

This is of course is totally rubbish if your trad because the rain does stop play, wfp there is no excuse as it makes no difference to the finish.

goretex boots and jacket and carry on!my customers are used to me cleaning in rain, sleet, snow, ice etc.there is the odd one who comes out and says "your not cleaning them  today are you?"these customers either get em done that day or i skip them until next clean.

lots of customers are out when cleaning so no bother.even some of my posh customers in large houses just come out and pay when its bouncing down as they know i need to make a living.

sit in the van with a flask during heavy showers then crack on when it eases off a bit.i dont work if its prolonged heavy rain all day though.

emergency fund built up throughout the year is ready there for me to dip into if i need to.

im behind with work due to having 10 days off a couple of weeks ago but im not worried.they will get done eventually.

i had a lot more time off when i was ladders only when wet as i hated climbing up a wet ladder and ended up making more of a mess of the windows than anything else!!

monday was a fantastic day up here.rest of the week looks pretty bad.you often find it doesnt turn out as bad as they forecast most of the time!!

best wishes

starve.get on with it most customers will be fine youll get trhe odd one who will play up
just pass on them.

the only time i dont clean in rain is if it is horizontal or its coupled with high winds
otherwise crack on

Most people really don't mind unless it's lashing it down. We probably get about 1 person in 20 that will play up!
The only work that I wouldn't entertain is tradding leaded windows in the rain because they just smear!

Clean in light to moderate rain, but when it's peeing down and blowing a gale I don't really wanna be stood out there getting wet and blown all over the place.

Might aswell just appreciate the time off guys nothing wrong with a chill out day...
