Hi I have recently bought a craftex grace as a backup machine for my ninja.
Yesterday I took it apart and had a look at the vacs they seem to be different to the vacs in my ninja. I know there both 3 stage 1500w vacs but the have some sort of fan vents all round the bottom of the grey lid. I've looked all over the net but can't seem to find anywhere that sells one that looks the same.
Would the vacs they sell at cleansmart do the same job? or will I have to go to craftex directly? which im guessing is gonna cost me a whole lot more.  I would like to get a spare vac for the machine and was hoping the vac might fit in the ninja aswell as the grace.

Any ideas guys?

Some vacs have a tube exhaust and some have a louvre exhaust. They are the same vacs inside but a tube exhaust allows for getting the hot air out of the motor housing easier. This keeps things cooler in the box.
Most decent machines try to keep all the different airflows apart. The cooling air to the top of the motor should be ducted from outside and the exhaust air should be piped out.

Go on Ebay, look for Harrison Hire & Sales.  i bought one off them for £125 + Vat & delivery.

The thing to watch out for on that machine, inside the waste tank there is a pipe on the right with a bit of sponge in the top.
Dont use it without the sponge in place as it filters all the hairs and fibres from sucking into the motors that you are looking at and clogging them up causing them to burn out.
Keep a spare bit of sponge with you and check it regular to make sure it hasnt popped out whilst using it.
I replaced both motors because of this.

I got one from a craftex supplier in Essex, it was much cheaper than crafted, as he was buying direct from manufacturer .

Thanks guys  contacted a few places and they all sell the vacs for the same price as craftex so will probably just go with them.
Thanks for the advice on the sponge will keep an eye on it.
