Serious question by the way...

If a little bit of info on this course makes window cleaners a little bit safer in them self and the work around them then it work!
who would you employe both companys have the same great track record, both good at what they do, one company has paperwork to prove it and one dont.

we have won contracts as we had more paperwork then some other companys.

just because someone has been window cleaning for x amount of years who is to say they have been doing it properly all this time.
and what is keeping them up to speed with current law.

any training in any way to great

From a marketing aspect it puts you straight above anyone that does not have it, from a H&S point of view you can learn the right ways to do thing which will in turn benifit your company, it also shows customers that your serious about what you do.

The only people that will slate it are the ones that don't have it.

ones that follow the correct way of doing things and have that experience.

Some of the things we all see are shocking, it's only a good thing for our industry.

My guess is you don;t have this bit of paper work.

p.s well done for passing it OP

hi ya it was not thaty long ago that to to prove that your a bonafide windowcleaner you joind the FMW..........FEDERATION OF MASTER WINDOWCLEANERS, mainly for insurance purpersis, you got to use there logo and you got a certificate with a membership no on it, i talked to other window cleaners about this and there response was the same as we are hearing now, i have been going x amount of years what you need that for blah blah blah, this was when i started in 1982, nowday you can not get on a site without a cscs card an ipath licence ect ect imo it just pushes the price of work up then the smaller guys cant compete.

One advantage that hasn't been mentioned is that it can help limit your liability in the event of an accident. This is especially true if you employ,.. having sent the lads away for training shows you're actively encouraging H&S and if the fool got injured doing something that the training told him not to do, then it'll be a lot harder for him to sue you!
