If your doing a house 3 minutes then according to your figures your working 3 hours a day or do u spend the other 5 or so hours looking in the mirror at how amazing you are becos i would if i was as brilliant as you.

MUPPET.

replying to your question it takes me 15mins 15 mins to clean an average 3 bed house trad.

round about 10 mins on a small 3 bedder including frames and doors if all wfp and they are monthly cleans.throw in a chat and a quick coffee and its half an hour!!

you can expect to clean 4-5 houses an hour every hour on very compact work.mind you i can be a bit splash and dash on cheap houses at £6-£8 a pop.

other work i can take my time and clean 3 an hour(non compact)including travel time and earn more!!
price higher/work harder!

depends what type semi's standard small 3 bedder,i clean frames most that trad dont so can clean quicker, takes me 15 - 20 mins, bay window ones 25 mins i do a good job tho, most trad guys i see are quicker than me but it amazes me how they clean so quick then sometimes i pick there work up and then i see why they are fast- there would be marks on the window like spider poo,or buff marks from scrim,or edge of glass not detailed properly,

i proberly do to good a job at times, its about just doing enough so customers happy though as frames sometimes wont need wiping everytime just keep on top of them

imo its not about speed more about quality and service thou you can deliver both
lets look at Richy wilts post about "letting his employee go" this is the same employee who done £300 in a day a few weeks later and Richy is loosing business because of the sub standard work and  getting lots of complaints?
its all about striking a balance and of course how much you need to earn

good post bob

when trad a 3 bed semi was around 20 mins - with frames cleaned and doors inc.  - wfp takes approx 7 mins for the same place.

as quoted above it's not all about speed - regardless of what others may brag about - you will get quicker over time but if not then adjust your prices accordingly - personally i prioritise quality over speed

If you clean too quick when customer is in  he will think he is paying too much  and check all windows, do not try to speed up if you are trad , this is were Ladder Accidents happen.  Be comfortable at what you are doing and just think what you would be earning if you worked for some one else.  Or working on the minimum wage     this is what keeps us in this work.   This is one of the highest paid jobs in the country  as far as manual work is involved, as long as you roughly earn around £18  + an hour you are doing well IMO. In this job you can catch up this time of year now the light nights are here.    You can always try  Backpack and waterfed pole for comparison. But at this moment your only outlay is Scrim Washing up liquid and energy.
