and they have said this for years, from when they used the bonnet system,

 lets say a potential customer reads that website then calls you   and ask....... "do you use steam cleaning and will you soak my carpets with gallons of water" are you going to say...... YES WE DO & YES WE WILL !!!  or will you explain to the customer the benefits of your cleaning system

The word CAN  absolves them of all claims of lies ,, they do not say WILL cause mould ,or that it will cause soapy residues they say it Can, which I agree is dodgy , but not a lie.

Look at it this way, they are saying

uuurrrghh water its bad

yummy our "Chem" is good they don't actually go into much detail of what their system is

ask your customer what they would like you to use( handy hint this is best done whilst drinking from a glass of water)

He's just picking up on one failing of HWE and thats. Some of us water boys apparently "might" cause mould or wick back
But then again you could also pick up on one of theres, Some of those "Chemical Boys" might cause allergic reactions, cancer, explosions, have they got to put a warning sign up when they use them? do you have to ventilate the room for a day? don't know myself but hey "THEY MIGHT DO THAT"

Marketing its great ! Personally I think having chem in your name in  these environmentally aware days isn't the best marketing tool.

go right ahead, I think we could say, we can deep clean it with HWE or use a rotary to grind in the dirt and thats much cheaper as its faster and not as good a clean.

Each to their own and currently Vax are running a TV advert that would make us all look like over priced, over machined idiots when you can get those great results with a domestic wet & dry.
