One off cleans
« on: March 31, 2012, 07:57:14 pm »
How do you guys go about pricing one off cleans?

All of my customers are monthly and I don't like the idea of one off cleans so I haven't actually priced one up yet but someone I know wants a one off clean.

I haven't seen the house yet but lets say as a guess its a £10 a month house, how much would you charge for a one off?

Also I do the upper window with wfp and as it takes a couple of cleans to get up to a good standard would I have to go over the windows twice before doing the lower ones trad , if that makes sence?

Go for at least treble. They don't come around much but that is what I charge.

yes whatever the job.  one i did last week took me 35 min.

the way i see it is i dont want to do them, so it has to be worth my while.

also they will usually take a min of an hour, when you consider travel etc so you have to price it as an hours work really.

In my opinion, charge at least treble.

If this house is amongst your other work do you want the neighbours finding out that you have charged a monthly £10 clean at just £15?  You will run the risk of losing monthly work to less frequent as a result.

Charge high and of you don't get it, what have you lost?  Very little in comparison to what your regular work is worth.

If it takes 3x as long, why 2x the price?

It depends if you are still building a round or not all the double and triple do not want to use time when they are full already. I have found I can turn many of these cleans into monthly business.I still need more work.I would judge the time on a out side trad and go 150% if that time and see how I go.This will determine my next time price. The custy must move all things from sills so all I do is clean. Sometimes its like the" drop and find another" answer on the forum. I would like to hear some of the reasoning for triple not that I disagree with those prices, just like to see were they are coming from for the many newbies we have on there. We need to be more responsibly for the many numpty thoughts on this forum.

I charge treble.
Reasons....
1 There's a reason why custy wants a one off....
2 They will allays be mingling

And they can all say it's expensive.....but

Call a plumber.......£50 just to turn up

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!

Hi Matty72

I turn down all the "one off" cleans that people ask me to do, so if you want me to start passing them your way, let me know mate. I normally say I don't know anyone

There's a knees up with Rob the window cleaner, Dave, Templar Cleaning, Myself and Mike on the 21st April, few berers & a curry if your interested.
