A guy I know bought a small round last year but as he already has a job he just worked it on weekends but now hes selling it as its too much doing both jobs. So i was thinking about buying it but its done trad at the minute and i'm wfp so has anyone bought work like this and how did it go when you changed? Also any other advice on buying work would be appreciated.

depending on the customers and house type would depend on if it is worth buying.

I converted a trad round over with about 300 customers and lost about 5 customers from this, but the time gain over the losss was a real advantage.

how many times the round value per month is the guy selling it for ?

I dont know yet its my friends brother who is selling it so he's going to speak to him today and get back to me.

Jonny is it in Denny/Falkirk area and at £3-3.50 per house, if so I wouldn't bother or I would pay very little for it

hi jonny i've bought two rounds over the last 18 months all trad work,my advice would be to carry on the trad work,see how long it takes to do a house compared to wfp(packing/unpacking hoses round wheely bins plants etc)if as stuart suggests they are 3.50 a house give it a wide berth or ask for a much reduced buying rate ie 2 times the value you can't wfp these and make a living unless very compact as in terraced homes and all the street is yours,if you do buy it,i would trad it and then suggest to the house owner you clean another way aswell/explain the benifits but there can be a "wearing in period"ie spotting etc(you can soon see the custies who are prepared to go the long haul to get clean windows-its how you educate them)overall jonny if the round looks like a pain to do either trad or wfp leave it mate they'll be others in the future

I may know the areas and the guy Jonny, but probably not as if he only works weekends I will likely have never met him, I do a lot in Larbert, don't commit to anything just go see him and find out how many houses and what price they are, and try establish if it is compact etc, it may well be worth it or not depending on the answers
