Black 'beads' in riser???
« on: March 29, 2012, 04:52:43 pm »
Second hand DI bottle had black 'beading' in the riser which was messing with the reading.
Any idea what it was?

I think they came from the food industry, marked calcium something.

Why would they put resin IN the riser?

It was LIKE resin. Kind of like small rubber bits. I thought it could be charcoal.

turns out that the high reading were caused by a hole drilled inside the top to allow bypass, sorted with a self tapping screw and readings are zero , sorted
