came home today and battery chargers died on me.its  the battery charger i got with my pure freedom trolley so i cant charge my battery.i normally charge it up overnight every night.its nearly 2 years old.i should of got a spare really.

im having next week off for easter so ill order another over the weekend.i have another day and a halfs work to do.

do you think itll last me?

How big is the battery?

Pretty subjective question as I don't know battery condition etc, how fast you run the pump, volume of water used each day etc

I'd say it's prob ok for another day or two but if it's a lead acid battery you should be able to charge it with any 12v battery charger

its a sealed 12v acid battery with a plastic socket that the charger goes into!!

I take it that it's quite a small battery, most likely a 26ah golf cart battery type.

In that case You would be doing well to get 2 days work out of it.

whys that dotty?pure freedom trolley has not missed a beat for nearly 2 years used day in/day out!!

their resin is good as well.prompt delivery and they always text me an hour before delivery!!tulsion mb 115.

Could you not buy one from a local car place ?

C-tek are great chargers and are reasonably priced

the battery is sealed with a little white plastic socket where the charger goes in.crocodile clips would be no good!dont want to take casing off as it stops water getting in and its strapped down tight on my trolley!!

lasted me today!only a half day tomorrow then 10 days off!!

pure freedom should deliver my new chargers(got 2),resin,warning cone and ptfe tape tomorrow afternoon!!

How has the charger died on you dazmond . Could it not be the battery the battery i got with my trolley lasted 2 1/2 yrs . My second battery from purefreedom  lasted less than a year they changed from a. Good quality deep cycle battery to one that was no were near as good as the first one i felt ripped off at the price i paid .          Phoned them and said i was not to happy with the battery within a year the reply was that their was only a 28 day warranty on battery as it was a lesiure battery been used for a industrial purpose  . sorted!! battery lasted 3 days with no charge.i reckon id get another day out of it!!ive got a mate whos fixed the charger and ive also got another 2 chargers ordered.one came yesterday the other will be delivered on monday as they mixed up the order at the warehouse.

the battery on my pure freedom trolley is fantastic.no problems whatsoever.85ah deep cycle it is.the charger has just been knocked about for nearly 2 years so just a lose wire needed fixing!

Think Squeeky wired his pump straight to his van battery and had no problems. Maybe this is the way forward

Get  12v car battery , link to main battery with split charger(£12 from e bay).

No more charging or rtemoving battery , Relay from van charges second baterry ,

cheers tam but i dont want to mess with split charge relays.trolley battery fine.

it was hardly a major problem.i have 3 chargers when i get my old one back from a mate!at least i know my battery will last 3 days without charge although i charge it every night to be on the safe side.
