I've recently started doing a large house where some of the frames are quite chalky. As soon as I put water on them it looks like a milky waterfall!!
Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

they are oxidised, look up problem windows by adders on you tube for a good way to clean these, the vid helped me a lot when i did the switch over

I have customers who i have been cleaning for 4 years and it still happens, but that is rare

most will clean up in about 3 cleans with alot of scrub & rinse

I usually scrub and rinse frames and glass and then carefully clean and rinse glass only being careful not to scrub the frames

IF they want if restored I polish them with a car body sealer one of those polymer sealer. .( PVC and ALU only )Wood they must paint. Or I burn the house down

Its only a £15 every 3 months job so unless they complain I won't be doing anything extra special on them. But thanks for feedback anyway!!
