All winter I promised myself more time off this summer, been flat out for 6 years paying off personal and business loans, credit cards from when I was younger etc (im sure many of you have done the same) so, as I only have 3 repayments left of business loan, and after 6 years of what only can be descibed as hell, im treating myself to days on the fishing lake etc, just to calm down and try to relax. (had this afternoon off so me and employee went fishing)

Trouble is, I then feel naughty and like im skiving school  :

Id like to think I do, but cant take my foot off the gas to much as I have other hurdles i need to get over, once debt is payed off.

Only caught the one mirror, no more than 6/7lb. The tree surgeons knocking about giving the trees a trim probally didnt help.

I dont own nor use a kayak... plasic deck chair and broken stick as a rod rest is how i roll.
Im not joking either lol. I like to just catch the sun, relax, couple of mates and reel in a few carp... old school

i have no debts yet still can not get time to have a real break, the problem is if i was trad, i could get anyone to stand in, but as i am 100% wfp, there is no one with any experience with wfp,

Well in therory. I shouldnt be taking time off as I cant get around all my work as it is, never mind with a few days off here and there. But as previously mentioned, the last 6 years really have been hard, complety my own fault, and have only my self to blame, but now the end is near, so now, just to unwind and gather thoughts etc, my customers will have to wait.

been there and done that james.it took me 4 years to pay my debts off but it was a learning curve!!im now debt free with money in  the bank!!

can i ask whether your trad or wfp?if your working flat out cant you put your prices up and streamline your round?have a good look at your round.are you still cleaning jobs that are well underpriced with no rise for years?

wfp for nearly 2 years now and i can easily keep on top of my 300+ customers plus ive put up prices twice in 2 years.taken on new work at much better prices etc,etc.

i now earn over £10,000 more a year than i did 3 years ago but work less hours!!!

Im trad mate, was wfp for a short while but customers simply did not like it and I wasnt prepared to risk losing them because of it. I do still have the system, so will prob get it back up and running for my bigger jobs one day.
Im currently in the process of putting my prices up, and my work is already very compact which is good.
I wont say exact debt figures that ive paid off over the last 6 years, but for someone aged 20... now 26, i should not have been in such high debt.

i dont understand mate!how long did you try your wfp system out for?most of us  on here are virtually 100% wfp with the odd bit of ground floor trad here and there.

i spent 16 years as a trad window cleaner.i had a few teething problems the first couple of months but ironed them out after 3-4 months with only 4 customers lost who didnt like the system.

I HAVE PICKED UP LOADS OF WORK OVER THE LAST 2 YEARS BECAUSE OF HAVING A WFP SYSTEM!!

i make a lot more money in less time.its a hell of a lot safer and i have more leisure time.i think you should have a re think james.im no slouch with a squeegee either but wfp is king for most work.

How long did i try it out for... probally not long enough, but more customers than I expected just were not happy. With the traditional compitition around here, I just could not risk it.

there are loads of trad cleaners near where i work and ive picked up work off ALL of them over the last few years.

WFP in the main is much better than most windows cleaned with soap and a squeegee,plus you can reach the awkward windows with a pole and clean frames to a much better finish and standard.

maybe you didnt have much confidence in the system and your customers picked up on it?its a shame you have a system sat there doing nowt when it could be making you more money in less time without having to climb a ladder up to every top window to clean it!!

I even clean bungalows wfp,
I would give it another go if i were you, on new custys & selected others
