Doing a 1st clean on a recent canvassed customer Friday and old boy from across road wanders over and says do you clean leaded ? ...

yup no problem at all says me

our window cleaner says he wont do them
he also cracked one of our conservatory windows
oh and broke 2 roof tiles on the extension
and when he did do the leaded windows he pulled some of it off and left it sticking out
and hes a month late
oh and missus aint happy cos hes got no insurance

old geezer then goes onto say he may ask me to do them if hes not been around by next month as he would feel bad by doing him out of work 

heard of loyalty but this gotta take the biscuit

i pick up work every year where the old window cleaner has broke tiles,not cleaned frames,misses windows etc,etc.thing is i used to do the same but ive upped my game over the last few years!!!!

i also charge more than i used to!!!

i was the typical example of the crappy trad cleaner with a drink problem.although i never used beer towels as sill cloths!in fact quite often id not bother cleaning the sills at all!!!

If you take on the jpb make a note of all the damge then get the customers to sign it

If you take on the jpb make a note of all the damge then get the customers to sign it
