My trolley plan
« on: March 23, 2012, 06:34:45 am »
I am planning on buying a trolley and fitting the di vessel myself. I am not to keen about theses systems... so please tell me if i am doing wrong... also i think this is cheap for me because i was going to buy a 600 pound trolley with a di vessel already built on to it.. but i thought i could do it myself !

I will be going for the Gardiners trolley system £300.00 -
http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Pure_Water_Trolley_Systems.html

and i will be buying a di vessel to fit to it somehow.... this is the di filter i will be buying -
http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/info_9prves.html

I will also be buying some tulsion resin for when my resin runs out.

plus all the connectors for my resin to connect it to the tank then to the pole right ?

Also i believe it will purify my water within 3-4 minutes

is this correct ?

thanks everyone

me i would go with a purefreedom trolley,so much easrier to get in and out of van/car,has you just lift the barrel of.

what would you do,if trolley still got water left in the fix tank and have to go to next job 10mins down the road, you try lifting that in and out

I am getting the pure freedom trolley... i was thinking before i posted.... but the only reason am going for PF trolley now is because its 25lt contaienrs and i can just take it off and replace it with the ones ill have in my van....

and i wont be using much... and if i did it wont affect me..... because ill be stocked up on water containers :)

Also would it purify my water within a few minutes if i attach a vessel to the trolley ?

thankyou

Yep thats correct, I've been using a pure freedom trolley for about 6 months with no compliants. Can fill a 25ltr container in a few minutes easily if the flow from your tap is strong enough. Can't comment on Gardiners system as never used.

Bought n-tech poles from pure freedom when I bought the trolley, there ok but if buying again think I would go for gardiners poles.

Why use a trolley if you have a van?  Get a tank, 100m microbore, a pump, a controller, a battery; and you're good to go with no heavy lifting or stopping to change barrels.

Van mount. Trolley is a mistake if you have a van.

i also consider my self strong, but there is no correct way of lifting a trolley and barrels in and out of the van.  over time it is bad for your back and your shoulders no matter how strong you are.  i would also advise you to get a van mount- saves you a lot of time in the long run.
if however you do get a trolley, get a pure freedom one- the gardiners ones are not meant for all day every day use as the water containers are not readily available in multiples and lifting 35 litres is obviously 10 more than the pf 25 litre barrels.
also you dont need to wheel your DI round with you everywhere

I dont want to go van mounted. Some people prefer van mounts... but i dont....

Parking your van here and their... its a headache i reckon... you got eater coming from your van.... and theirs a hose all over the place.... someone could trip on it... i know you have a yellow hose thing but still.... their could be a group of yobs walking by and decide to mess around with it.... just park my van up somewehre take my pole and trolley out and thats it for me :)

I would rather have a trolley... carry it around with me all day put it back in to the van..... ect i will have several containers..... and i wont get a bad back doing this i will after 20 years or so lol but its only a trolley.... with 25LT of water its not that heavy come on

I used to carry 3 crates of lager 500ml x 24 about 10 times a day when we used to have a  family business  thats like 36Litres lol

I will have a astra estate so its just a small van perfect for all my containers and my trolley etc

Some school kids will pull the hose but i choose to do houses at a different time .  As for people tripping over hose have never heard of any incidents .  100 mtrs of hose will allow you to clean a row of. 22 terraced houses from one end to the other without moving van thats far eaiser than using trolley which i did for over 3 yrs .  Mike
