Weekend Working
« on: March 22, 2012, 01:40:22 pm »
Do you up your price when working at the weekend ?

I don't, as I don't have a full diary during the week, when doing a quote, if the customer ask if Its possible to clean the carpets at the weekend I always say yes , as I want to secure the job while doing the quote.

BTW I only clean residential carpets.
This is the season for fine wine, and drunken friends, enjoy this moment, for this moment is your life.

No.. same price.. people work through the week too so saves them taking time off..... and that may or may not just affect who they choose if you are flexible to their needs...

Yes I work w/e when required, charge the same price.
I think in this game we have to work round the customers need.

Won't work on a Sunday.

Saturdays if domestic (but very rare) then same rate. If commercial then it's different pricing in any case.

Saturdays are at a premium, therefore they are a premium rate.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

No of course not,

What other service provider charges extra for weekend work,,,,, If they did I would never use them.  What makes CC so special.

Weekends are family time for me.
If you cant earn enough money Mon - Fri then your not charging enough imo.
Lifes too short.

That's the thing about forums you ask a question and you get a definitive answer. After all there can only  be one way to do things.  :D ;)

I don't do domestics at weekends.  People often ask if I work Saturdays but always tell them that's when I do my commercial work.  Usually they find a way of accommodating!

The commercials I do on Saturdays normally compensate financially for the interruption to my weekend!  I charge a 25% surcharge for out of hours work, e.g. the Indian Restaurant that insists the work is done commencing 10.30pm on a Sunday evening.

I just tell them that weekends are very popular so the next free weekend is next month, unless its powerwashing which tends to be what i do at weekends then they get booked in
