Cleaning Van
« on: March 21, 2012, 10:03:21 pm »
Hi All,

We are looking at getting our first van for the company (instead of using estate cars). We want a compant type van (Peugeot Bipper size).

Could any of you recommend any good vans and why they are better?

We do not want a larger transit size van, nor do we want any window cleaning fit-out.

Also, once we have the van we would like some shelving etc added so any places that do fit out of this type that I could make enquiries with would be appreciated. And following all that we'll get it nicely liveried/stickered up.

Thanks :)

Citroen Dispatch, 2005 is a good all round first van. Three seats as a bonus.

Should pick a decent mileage one up for  around £3000.

Buy a ply lined one or ply line yourself. Then just add your own ply shelving to suit. This is easy, cheap and will save you a few hundred. Better still, it'll be exactly how you want / need it.

only new to the site, but i'd recommend a volkswagen caddy.

i run 2 of these diesel vans and they are fantastic, good size but still small enough :)

Hi,
Whatever you do, stay away from the Vauxhall combo. i have a 2007 one & have had endless trouble with it. Maybe i have just been unlucky but i will not buy another one. Did run a Citroen dispatch for a few years & that was great, regular service & no repairs for over 3 years
Cheers
Ron

best small van in my opinion is a volkswagen caddy

had one before and it was faultless but i bought the SDI and really missed the turbo, so i sold it for a turbo diesel instead

we use nothing but the vauxhall combi crew vans, they've been really good for us, we've just bought another 2, when we need a van we just drop the seats, you lose very little room, and when we need a team of cleaners on a job, hey presto, we got 5 seats!  :)
