Powerburst most of the time now, SPM and sometimes use M Power which i think is good on the vomit and bodily fluids usually rinse with final phase acid rinse.
Spotters i seem to use the sames ones now Stain pro, citrus gel, Solvex solve most problems, sometimes a microsplitter.

Powerburst for 90% of prespraying
sometimes citra boost additive for prespray on real mingers
Fibre and Fabric rinse for extracting/ rinsing
Solval spotter or Citra Boost for oil spots
Solvex on paint
Odour Fresh for carpet/upholstery deodorser and spraying in waste tank
oxibrite/fibre buff or Sodium mets for stains on wool fibres - tea coffee stains water damage/marks
(Oxibrite worked a treat yesterday on a rotten pear stain - customer had attempeted DIY so was n't very optimistic, but good 10 min dwell time then rinsed and gone. I was amazed myself... the customer was exstatic)
Ultrapak for draught marks/soot
Cleansan for sanitising followed by acidic rinse
Fabric Restorer for prespraying upholstery

just to mention afew of the main ones but thats me.

We are working on ship in Dunkirk at the moment with some pretty challenging soil conditions and this has provided the opportunity to test out Shockwave against PB  and there appears to be no difference in the results except Shockwave is an awful lot cheaper.

Our core products on the vans are

DFC105/210
Liquid High Heat
Enzall
Powerburst

plus assorted products for particular problem areas on sites we attend.

What he said although I still love Formula 90 with Energiser when I think something needs rescued.

That's a bit of a sweeping generalisation to say a carpet resoils 4 times more quickly than another product as there are so many other factors that could explain it and most more obvious that the prespray used.

What is the dilution rate for injection sprayers. Powerburst is 15 scoops per 5ltr of concentrate?

I always test on my own carpets, can't say i've noticed any difference in the resoiling values, My regular customers i go to, most are clean or cleanish when i get there( I like customers like that  ;D ) starting to get some customers coming back where i used spm, same again clean or cleanish, just the odd stain here and there!!! Agree with Simon, bit of a sweeping statement!!!!

Think everyone gets used to the chemicals they use!!! I'm awful for keep buying different ones to try, but always seem to go back to what i find works for me! If they don't work for you, Thats fine, be a boring life if we we're all the same!!!  ;D But for me, i've never really had an issue, especially the one you've said you've found!!!!

Spot on, why use something that "may" do the job you know Powerburst is going to achieve the result you want

Hi All

I'm in the process of starting and have used Ashbys own chemicals after doing my course with them.

TBH I have not been very satisfied with the results on some dirty carpets I have been testing on.  I did telephone Ashbys  to ask about the recommended coverage rate for their pre-spotter and was told the dilution is printed on the container, after explaining it was not the dilution I needed to know, I was told to used 'a bit more if the carpets are bad' ::)  - How long is a piece of string?

I did read on one site that there is very little difference between carpet cleaning chemicals from most leading companies however, I would sooner spend money with a company who can totally back up their products.

Michael, Ashby's are first and foremost a manufacturer of cleaning machines.  I would hazard a guess that they just buy in chemicals made by a much larger chemical manufacturer, and re-label them (after adding a nice margin).  Therefore they are not really offering anything advanced or any different from other basic chemicals

Prochem have obviously specialised in chemicals for donkeys years.  The Prochem system is fairly accessible for a beginner, albeit in my opinion they have too many products that all do pretty much the same thing.

Chemspec are a major force too, their products are available from quite a few places like restormate for example (who also stock much of the prochem range)

There are other alternatives, such as the range available from solution in cornwall who develop the majority of their stuff just for themselves so it is fairly unique.  Well worth checking out.

Cleansmart also have a product range but I know nothing of them really (apart from they're bloody expensive) and hear very little about them in terms of reviews.  Not sure if they are unique to cleansmart or just bought-in and re-labelled.

Have a shop around :)

I had a clear out in the garage last weekend and the oldest thing i found was Ashby's bog standard prespray. Had a go with it on an EOT this week and it was still pretty good. In particular I'd forgotten it was one of the nicest smelling products to date.

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
