Why 2 years? Did they give a reason for the 2 year payment? Why not 1 year or maybe even 3?

Seems a bit odd? After all, 'they' being a new customer and 'them' not knowing you.

Would you give money to a complete stranger in that way?

And you accepted the payment?

if you knew me, i don't bull s**t, he obviously see's i'm a trust worthy and professional person, which i am, he paid me £120 by cheque, assuming it don't bounce, for 12 cleans every 8 weeks.

who cares?as long as you get paid!!its none of your business why.just clean his windows!!as for the feeling your cleaning for nothing YOUR NOT!!i have customers who pay a few cleans in front.one who pays 4 cleans in advance.at the end of the day itll make up for the people who take their time paying.it balances itself out in the long run.

I clean the windows of a doctor who pays 6 months in advance; but normally by the time he pays, he's four months in arrears, so he pays the arrears plus 6 months.  Your admin has to be good to keep up with who owes what and whose paid in advance.

I had a lady pay me 400 up front. It was suppose to be 40 what she owed. I knew it was mistake but took it as an upfront payment. She didn't even realize and after us cleaning about 6 times and leaving a note saying paiHerschel time she then rang me to ask why that was. More money than sense!

I have a client that pays me for 2 or 4 cleans in advance.  It's nice to get guaranteed money but after I've banked/spent the money and I'm cleaning 'em a month or 2 later I can't quite shake the feeling that I'm doing the work for nothing; I know it's stupid but that's how I feel coz I'm not going to get paid after I've done the work - go figure!!  :
