van set up.

Changing from back pack to van set up next week.
surflo 100psi pump and flow contoller from Maplins (£20 complete).
Should i fit a power switch between battery and flow controller or
will flow valve on my brush be sufficent to shut system off.

yes put a switch in with a relay prefferably.
the pressure switch in the pump will shut off the pump, when you close the tap.
but only at its maximum pressure, so it will test you hose connections well.
