My wife comes out with me some days. She great with the customers who like to yak yak yak yak yak because she does the yakking, which comes very natural to her, and I do the work. It speeds things things up no end.

She also keeps the van tidy because she says she not going anywhere sitting in a mobile rubbish tip.

The biggest drawback which sends me nuts is that it takes ages to get out the the flat in the morning. In fact, it takes her ages to do anything. I don't know what she does after she says she'll get ready but it takes her such a    l------o------n------g     t------i------m------e.   I end up pacing up and down the front room muttering to myself.

Other drawbacks, she talks endlessly and we always seem to be going everywhere via public toilets. One cup of tea and 30 minutes later she needs the loo.

The bonus though, she's very thorough. We've got customers with front doors that are so clean you could eat your dinner off them.

I've worked with Wor Lass for the past 10 years.

Don't make a rod for your own back, mate, tell her to get a proper job.

That is all.  :(

Wor Lass is the miserable sod in our relationship.  I have to constantly remind her not to bite the customers.  I wish she'd get a propa job.  To be fair, she only works four days a week - I need the break from her - and then she only works till about 1 or 2 pm.  I'll refill back up and head out.  She's no good for drive between type work, but on compact domestic or large commercial, she's great.  She's also good with a squeegy and starts on any inside work we have.

Sorry Tosh - I forgot your penchant for ink and girth!  ;D

But back to slim and OCD - would your lass valet my van for me I'll be selling it in the not too distant future and she'd do a proper job?

Both bits in red. That is it exactly.

I like working on my own. If I work with my missus for more than a few days a week I get irritable because I work very efficiently on my own. I can organise each day how I want it without having to explain it.

As for my missus biting the customers.... it pee's me off when after doing a job she brings up some comment the customer made or something about the customer that I'd never even registered but my missus, oh no, for her it's handbags at dawn.

My missus is also happy to do inside work. Problem is that I then get the run down on the customers taste in net curtains, kitchen stuff and duvet covers and all that which I don't even notice and could not care less about.

Wor Lass winds me up as co-driver.  At a junction if I can't see clearly, I'll ask Wor Lass, "Can I go?"  She'll look and say "No!", but what she really means is "No, there are no cars coming and you can go!", and by the time I verify this with her, there's cars coming.
