STOLEN SYSTEM
« on: March 16, 2012, 10:07:21 am »
Hi all.
Can you keep your eyes peeled for a white box trailer with a 500lt Pure Freedom, two pumps and controllers.
It is my cousins and was nicked out of his garden Wedenesday nite in Lincolnshire. The tank and cage are new the pumps and controllers a couple of years old, only fitted two weeks ago.
Any help would be great.

RESULT!!!!!!!!!
KS Cleaning you are right.
Pure Freedom fitted a new tank and cage and they did DNA it.
Some bloke phoned them and said he had bought a trailer with 'some equipment with the Pure Freedom name on it' would they want to buy it. They said yes, he took it to Pure Freedom this afternoon and the coppers were waiting!
They proved it belonged to my cousin with the DNA marking as it matched the paper work.
My cousin is overjoyed and can work again on Monday.
A great end to the day!
Mart.

Why would he buy it from a motor dealer only to try and sell it 2 days later? Hmmmmmm.

Got a bit more info.
The 'dealer' said he traded it in, the guy who bought it wanted the trailer only. Let the coppers sort it out.
The main thing is the trailer and system was identified and a happy ending for my cousin as he got it back.
The guys at Pure Freedom invited the bloke selling it into their reception and the engineers whipped the trailer off the car and into the workshop then the cops turned up!
Mart.

Surely that should turn up , trailers aren't inconspicuous!

Sean, it has turned up.
The guys at Pure Freedom DNA their systems and did a great job getting the trailer and system back.
My cousin phoned them when it got nicked and they were contacted by a bloke who had it by fair means or foul, who knows the cops are checking that one out. The fact that it was DNA'd help to prove that it was my cousins beyond all doubt.
A great result for all except for maybe two 'inocent' buyers.

Wenesday night trailer and system nicked from drive-Thursday Police and Pure Freedom told-Thursday afternoon bloke buys it from a van dealer (so he says) who took it in part exchange for a van (so he says)- Friday morning bloke phones Pure Freedom only want trailer do they want to buy the system-Pure Freedom yes please-Friday afternoon bloke brings trailer to Pure Freedom and they whip it off the back of his car whilst one of the gaffers tells the bloke its a nicked trailer in reception-the coppers turn up. Nice one - pats on the back to Pure Freedom - but to say well done to the coppers for turning up is like saying well done to Eddie Stobart for driving trucks.
It's a game of three halves!

good result and that was a nice piece of luck too!

the law says there is no ignorance

if that kit was worth a few quid that person who payed cash for it knew it..and should be questioned to find that person who sold it to him as its likley the seller was the scum and he needs to be nicked

Maybe send Pure Freedom a thank you testimonial to put on their website saying their DNA thing helped recover a stolen trailer system and their actions at their offices/factory were paramount to that end.

I'm certain and sure they'd want to promote it and put it on the 'testimonials' part of their website.

Good idea don't you think?

Good that your cousin is back working Monday next and that the police have sorted things out so quickly for him. My neighbour had his car stolen off a garage forecourt last year and in his case, even though the culprits were caught red handed 45 minutes later, it still took 5 weeks for him to get his car back.

Your cousin is very lucky.

Thanks guys I agree I think the Pure Freedom guys went that extra mile in sortying this out.
Its good to know that some companys care about their customers to take a risk. You dont know who you might be dealing with, it takes guts to stand up to crooks etc. when the police are spineless!!!!!!!!!ariving after the hard work is done!
