Snapped jet clx 18.
« on: March 14, 2012, 07:42:45 pm »
I have never done that before.......

My mate produced the 18 with a clean break on one jet. I have never seen that before, it was snapped clean at the base, I havent had time to look at it yet as it was a v-busy day, and it is too dark now.

So I thought I would ask about how it needs to be taken out, and how to get another, and some spares asap.

if it is dirty it is fair game

Is this a plastic or brass jet?

To remove get a small drill bit place on the broken jet remains and tap out with a hammer.

It is brass.

It is not the end of the world, just havent seen it before. I will have a look in the morning. I guess I ought to have some spares, in case it happens again.

I was in for a couple of bits the other day, it is like being a kid in a sweet shop. I wanted some rectus stuff and left with a slx-22 and some other stuff. The 22 can take up the slack for a few days.
