What training workshops would you like?
« on: March 14, 2012, 08:10:31 am »
If you were able to attend some window cleaning training workshops, what would be the main topics that would make you think......that is worth attending?

We are looking more at the residential/light commercial market

Ideally the workshops would be 100% funded, if you could only access say 50% funding, what would be a reasonable price you would attend the workshop......remember you would only be attending because you have thought, that sounds worth it!

We are asking these questions to get ready for our next contract of funded training and would like to get some good feedback/opinions from you guys, as you are our market place!

I hope you can find time to give a few suggestions and I thank you in advance

It is beyond belief, imo, that the government are funding courses for wc's.
People are losing their jobs and homes because of government cutbacks and yet your business is thriving on providing needless courses, again my opinion, funded by taxpayers money.....

I know you are a businessman,i mean you obviously make money somehow from these funded workshops otherwise you wouldn't be in business, but i think that in times like we are living in at the moment courses and funding like this should be the first to go....

Because low employment, people try their hand at being self employed, they stop claiming benefits if they make some money and then the government taxes them....I think :)

What say us window cleaners be a shining example to the rest of the country and pay for any training we want ourselves? Perhaps the money could be spent on the latest cancer drug to be available on the NHS or perhaps our lads in Afganistan might benefit from some decent kit. Or let's use the governments training budget on people who count like firemen, nurses & paramedics. Or we could just look after number 1 set up a training company to provide training to people who don't really need it at the taxpayers expense? Just a few idle thoughts :)

thats three people that need not of posted on this topic then as it helps no one.

These training courses help people and could help save someone life from being educated in health and safety and correct use of equipment, just because you guy do not want to do them does not in anyway make you right.

The funding thats available is for this very thing and  is not for our troops nor for cancer treatments. if we all thought like you then we would all be in trouble.

have you walked into the nice newly fitted charity shops lately ? we all pay and donate to that. you know the tax we pay that goes to our troops well a % anyway, it is sadly a mismanaged business and there seems a lot of waste going into making charity shops look nice (thats a business too).

These guys are trying to help the industry, so what if they made a business from it fair play to them. Have you ever met them ? you would find them some of the nicest guys about and there trying to help others be better educated.

I for one am glad they do these funded courses and I hope they continue to grow these.

I think courses that would help Window cleaners would be a "how to" business management/development course and a Marketing Course for both light commercial and domestic but that are seperated., then a seperate one for larger commercial and tenders.

^^^^^^^^ second that ^^^^^^^^

how much does it cost the NHS because of idiots that cant use a ladder properly and fall off
how much does it cost insurances comapanys because people dont have the common sense for correct H&S

a lot more then this training. even if you only learn 1 thing out of this " POINTLESS " training then its done its job.

If your company looks more professional with trained staff in all areas you will have better chances of getting the bigger contracts thos expanding and employeeing more people.

as my mother always said if you havnt got something nice to say shut the fu*K up :D
