Do any of you who carry out "out of hours" cleaning on shops have a problem with getting your dockets signed for work carried out?

We currently cover from Blackpool down to worcester and Liverpool across to Nottingham doing this type of cleaning,

Do to the massive area we have some seriously early starts in the morning to get the vast majority of the external cleans done before opening time and we leave behind a calling slip for the manager to see,

On our return the next week we get our docket signed for the current clean and the clean the week before,

This method has worked well for a while but recently we've seen that managers are reluctant to sign for out of hrs cleans as they haven't seen us carry out the cleans,

This is only happening on a small number of chains at the moment but I can see it becoming an increasing problem as chains try to save money as in not paying the window cleaner for the odd clean, when you are cleaning 200+ shops a week though it is a big problem.

Has anybody else suffered from this?

It's as if the managers have been instructed to throw a spanner in the works???

Sign the docket with the time you attended, and take a photo of the docket outside the shopfront.

Not ideal, but at least you can show the manager, or the main contractor when you invoice

Yes I've thought about that Dave,

I've even considered taking a picture outside of the store with us holding a picture of a newspaper with the date on.

my local ones all know me and sign no problem it is always the odd one further away, and chatting to other lads they all have the same problems at times, shopping malls are the worst you have to in and out before a certain time so no chance of a sig unless you catch a cleaner on the way in

I've found it very distressing at times personally.

only had 1 problem . internationale(clothes shop) which i do need to get a docket signed per month. no problem getting signature from the manager but i sent the invoice and docket off to head office. a week later it comes back because the store manager hasn't stamped the sheet with the store stamp. so head down there and speak to the manager and to get it stamped, it turns out the store hasn't had a stamp for 8 months . ring the head office , nobody is interested. eventually get to talk to a guy there . he insists no stamp no money and the store will be getting it sorted..... weeks later
and after many phone calls which i can do without they are gonna pay. but haven't done so yet. so it may be delaying tactics which they would do if they are in trouble . sometimes it makes me wonder if its worth it tbh

Never had any problems of getting sheets signed as one of my shops sign at last clean of that month without any hitches

Tbf it only makes up for the times, when you get them signed when you haven't done 'em. Swings n roundabouts eh
