Gotta window cleaning warehouse backpack been using all week but each night notice the car boot wet. Went to get it out of the shed tonight for tomorrow and shed floor is soaked and water levels gone down. When lifted it up it looks like its coming out of the 4 nipple looking things underneath which means is it leaking from the water into the battery and pump housing and out through th bottom. Any help or ideas chaps please

The nipple things where the screws go?

Have you taken it apart and retightened the screws too much or not put the washers in?

If you have you may have pierced the tank

Firstly, I don't know much about the WCW BP but I have a modified Sureflow.

Leaks are 1 of 3 things
1.  Seal on the lid maybe leaking.
Especialy if it is carried around in the back of your car/van this will most likely happen
Maybe not in your case....you said the level had gone down.....OK...option 2
2. Pipe leaking into or out of the pump.
Get into the pump housing and run it on the floor and see what happens?
No leaks........OK ........option 3
3.  You could have a leak in the tank....cracked it somehow....Not as bad as you might think
Try this if there is damage to the tank....

Had the same promblem with mine and now isnt working dont know if water has got in to the electrics. Only had it about 6 months and had a couple of prombles. Had a shurflo nearly 4 years and been fine. Iknow a lot on here swear by the wcw one but this is my experience. Sorry this is no help to you though.

I have this ,it is %99 the end of the hose especially if you have the hozelock connector if the tap is not all the way off it will leak,ensure its off fully.

When you say tap do you mean the control button that alters the flow or the button at the end of the hose with the arrow on it on the hozlelock connector?

6 months does waranty mean nothing     To be fair to wcw lost receipt so have not contacted them May give them a ring see what they say. Not slagging them off just sharing my experience. Bought other stuff no promblems and good service.

had this with mine , it leaks from hozelock connector , only way to stop it is to make sure the adaptor end with hozelock on it , is high up when you leave it at night . i wedge mine so it cant fall down and leak

have any lads got a backpack from wcw with a faulty pump,     have they fixed it for you   or does the waranty not cover this,  whats stopping you from banging it accidently on ground and knocking the pump., is the trolley system a better sturdier buy in the long run.,    a bit more expensive    but will last.   im in two minds what to do yet,   keep putting it off. never buy a second hand one unless pick up and test it,    goy backpack from ebay  said 6 months old, great i thought still new,  arrived    tried it  leaked all in base, took cover off  pump spraying water everywhere.even on terminals.  freezing weather breaks pumps.     he said it must have happened in transport.     sent back   through ebay.  still out of pocket had to pay for postage back.    tired finger.  that one was bright orange paul,   too bright  illuminous.

i have the same backpack i know just what you are on about, the leak is coming from the pipe that connects the water holder (backpack) to the pump, its a small black pipe, its connected with a crappy metal clip thats not tight at all, the problem is its really hard to take of, i havent bothered and it leaks a bit still but its ok, for the guy thats backpack stopped working, i have the solution, what you do is take off all the wire connections (note where they were before) and connect crocodile clips to all the ends, a blob of solder to hold them in place after wrapping the wire round (amazon or ebay sell soldering irons for about £4) this sorts out all of your electric probs.

my missus uses a backpack 5 days a week 8-5 and has never let us down afterthe wires have been sorted, all of the time we have had this backpack it has leaked lol

Yes it is. After doing a few things the chaps have said its bone dry the snoring so hopefully it's ok. Expect a bit of leakage.

Thanks for that. I'm hoping it's stopped now and yes I can put up with a bit of leakage but this was a lot. I may have Sussex it now by doing a few things the chaps have told me

I have shut the valve off on the hozlelock and have got the hose sticking up and all night and today it has not leaked so I wanna thank you all for helping me out. Thanks guys.

I left my backpack on charge in the kitchen one night and it leaked on the floor and warped all the parkay flooring we only moved in a week previously my missus wasnt best pleased
