Thinking of getting one of these clx 18 for my housing estate work i use a harris pole at the moment and its very lite has the superlite brush head and universal clamps to replace the twisty crap lol i wouldnt want a heavier pole what u think guys ? Im not guna go slx on the 18 as there is only 100 g difference

If someone told you, you could earn a extra tenner a day, x 5 days a week x 48 weeks, if you handed them over £100, would you think is was worth it?

clx 18 is a very light pole
i love mine

easy tip for harris clamps when you buy one undo twist lock one wrap
of leccy tape on inside stops clamps wearing

Clx 18 is a nice little pole but I'd still go slx if you are going to use it more than an hr a day as the rigidity of the slx makes working with it better than the Clx ( we have both, happy with both of them)

I suppose the clanps falling off issue has been sorted by now?
Probably a year ago when I bought a CLX and less than a month and the clamps fell off.  Gardiners sent me some glue.....still got it?!
Swapped the CLX for something else with a mate......he reglued the clamps....sanded the section and used some other glue...he likes it...no more problems.

a clx 18 is sooooo light mate, lighter than most fishing rods i think, feels like a little stick in your hand :-) but i tell you what its a cracking pole, my missus uses one and its the best i have seen

For some jobs I would say CLX  poles are a bit  too good. Bit like using a ferrari to go to tescos.. For basic estates a Harris pole is cheap easy and durable. It might be nicer to have a CLX and for the more demanding jobs they are the dogs do-das.
But when its simple, keep it simple.

anyone know the weight difference of a clx 18 and a harris pole with no brush head ?? if its lighter or same weight im buying

Harris pole has a weight of 1080g, (taken off the thread fitting). It extends to 5m.

The CLX 18 has a weight of 1050g. Extends to 5.2m

I think they were from cleaning spot but will look into it again they had to be modified a fair bit to fit the pole i will try and get some photos of the mods. The small one had to be bored out a little and opened out a bit on the bottom of it very hard to explain i basically got them and made them fit lol i should make one up and sell it lol only problem clamps were £27 pole about 15 u mite aswell buy clx im going clx
