How useful is a website?

In what ways does a website help your window cleaning business?
It's a game of three halves!

Get some leads probably from leaflets but they might not have rung...who knows...apart from that if you rank well you get leads for free.

You'll be surprised Malc. ;)......

I have, at present, a cheap Microsoft Office Live site, although Microsoft are stopping Office live end of April
It's got me quite a few good customers.

These days people tend to search the internet...."Google it"

I am transfering to Yell.com for £20 per month. Lets see what happens ;)

I get between 50 and 100 unique visits to my website, every month,  plus returning visitors. With Google Analytics I can see what the search terms are, where they are from (city/country), how long they have been on the site and pages and other mindless stats.

I am tweaking at the moment to take all this into account.

Websites are the window to your business!!!!

website is a great reference point. Great advertising tool and works 24/7

A website is a very important part of marketing in this day and age, people thinking they are not worth it are close to mentally ill.
A good website is well worth the investment and a lot of the time you get what you pay for.

Sadly there are still people that sell websites without any seo which then will make it next to useless unless the owner of it has a continuing marketing plan for it.

Get good amount of customers coming through this marketing channel all over the uk

I would probably agree.

Stupid statement to make. Everyone is free to make their own choice as to how they advertise their business.
There are many succesful window cleaning businesses that have never had a website and will never have one.
Mentally ill......?

If you have one you have a "web presence" if you dont, you dont! ;)

You will be either seen or not seen by anyone looking! ;D

Mine's brought in some good work, it's a free Microsoft one & occupies the TOP THREE spots on google for my region & first page for every other area I work! :)

Having the top three google places is also very handy for when Yell.com & the likes phone up, one mention of that & they're soon off the phone! ;D

the site looks ok but you have not got any keywords added to the site.

you can have the best site in the world but if no one can see it their's no point  ;)

Yes, I've had quite a few calls from my website.  It's well worth it.  Mine's free and ranks top of the non paid listings.  I'm also on Google map thing.

Ashamed ? why Taken a little out of context I think, maybe I should have said Mad and added IMO as that's what I think, I am not ashamed of what I think, although i'm not great at writing with emotion.

People note my son has a mental illness, so please do not try to make this something it is not.

have a great day  ;)

We're all mentally ill to some extent, and if you don't think that's true, then that's your mental illness telling you that you're normal.
