minimum price on a job
« on: March 06, 2012, 09:24:36 pm »
I don't really want to do, and I haven't even seen it, stroppy bird phoned me up saying she needs a house windows cleaning, up for sale blah blah, inside and out

it isn't far away so I said I would take a look but couldn't do it this week as I can't let regular customers down so it would need to be saturday, I was hoping she would say no thanks

anyway I had a look on google street view and there is nothing in the street that would take more than an hour to clean in and out, so what you reckon an hours work on a saturday is worth £50 ;D I think it is ok but hopefully she will not take me up on it, but if she does at least it is a decent rate, what would you charge?

went and looked today, glad I did bigger than I thought, for a regular outside clean it would be £20 so probably £40 to you lads in the south

so to do in and out as a regular job £40 so I phoned her tonight and said £60, I actually don't think it is to unreasonable as they haven't been cleaned in years.

anyway she swallowed right enough :D but only in disbelief, she said she would phone back after speaking to her partner, that was three hours ago ???
