Hi Jouk

If you can actually get up close to the lead and clean by hand the best method is actually using a brillo pad! dip it in some clean warm water and then agitate the lead flashing with the brillo pad, once its clean from all surface dirt just rinse clean and dry.

If you want to do a really special job  ;) and you really will have to charge extra for this  ;D you can buy some patination oil from a builders merchants along with a cheap 2" paint brush and dress the lead with the oil once it's clean.

It will look REALLY nice and your custard will be very HAPPY

I last week used ecover truck wash. Basically sprayed it on diluted leaved it for 5 minutes then put a little water on and used a stiff brush. It was a flat roof I did it on. I then used and old squidgy and pulled the water dirty water off into the gutter. It can up pretty good.

the stuff on the right is very good. It does take a few days to work, but the stuff then falls off with wfp
if it is dirty it is fair game

i did look at this stuff, so basicly you spray on this stuff and a few days later i can wfp, or does it just work as they say leave it and it will be gone in a few days
