but seriously
« on: March 03, 2012, 07:29:16 pm »
???Posted on forum about 6 weeks ago, bought 25l pure freedom trolley.
After 25 years trad , have been on ciu for 3 years and i admit have got swept up in the wfp method.
find pulling trolley around a nightmare, got 30 metre extra hose so could leave tlolley at front ,but hose always snagging.
have cleaned some jobs wfp twice windows and frames and results not good ,on most wfp jobs still have to get ladders out for windows on roofs and windows on balconies, sorry but ladders so much easier.
I have a good mix of dom and commercial jobs but swapping between the two styles is hard work.
Sorry for the long winded post.
peace and love.

I bet if you post in another 6 weeks you will feel better about wfp.
It took me a couple of months to get into it.
Hang on in there.

David you got to stick with it, I was trad for 17 years went wfp 7 years ago when i got mine not many peeps had it so was on my own done windows same came out crap kept getting ladders off phoning company where i bought it he kept telling me to stick with it which i did eventually you will get hang of it with first wash spend abit more time washing & rinsing them which may take longer doing this the first time than it would be you doing them by ladders but the next time and therefore after you will wizz round them in no time & much safer also you will even price very high windows without a thought as before it would be mmmm I gotta do these off a three part ladder which is high & dodgy so honestly m8 stick with it and if you can get a system put in your van ... Ive got 100m hose bolted in back of van which goes around most of my jobs no probs !!!!

took me 3 months to get to grips with it /i found i had a tendency to try going to fast slow down on the rinse ,also after 6 months went for van mount and found this much easier.after 2 or 3 times doing your work you learn where to run the hose ,keep going it gets easier ;)

Buy a tank,  strap it down in your van and connect the trolley to that with a 50-100m of hose then the jobs a good un.

You can always disconnect it and use as a trolley again too when needed.

wfp is the bitch from hell, first few months, make no bones about it, it will get you down at times
Give it a few months and you will not only earn more, get around your round more quickly, see  better results, you will actually enjoy your work a lot more.
It does get easier mate , stick with it, you wont look back  ;)

Problem with trolley I thnk is you automatically worry about using too much water, then you reduce the pressure, use less water, but then the windows don't get good enough rinsing.

Cut loses, get a van mount ASAP,
Save all the lugging and filling of loads of barrels every night.

And get lightest pole and brush, VERY important, no disrespect to PF but generally the trolley package comes with a very poor pole.

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!
